Frederick Roosevelt Paige Jr, son of the late Frederick Roosevelt Paige Sr. and Alice L. Paige-Morrell, was called from labor to reward early Sunday morning, June 26, 2022 at 1:45 AM at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD.
Fred was born July 25, 1954 in Washington D.C. He was educated in the Washington D.C. school system. He served in the United States Navy as a Photograph Interpreter, which sparked his love of photography. While living in Washington D.C. he was employed at a number of government agencies.
It was also during this time that he met Valerie Joyce Gales. They were married on July 2, 1982. They have three children from their union; Tiombé Micha Paige, Cara Alicia Paige, and Frederick Roosevelt Paige, III. Fred also has a daughter Mia LeNedra Hall from a previous relationship.
Frederick was an ordained minister at Gospel Spreading Church in Union Bridge Maryland in the late 80’s through the early 90’s, where his father also pastored for many years. Traveling each week to Union Bridge, Frederick and Valerie fell in love with the area and decided in 1988 to move their family to Westminster, MD. Frederick then answered the call of ministry at Calvary Christian Fellowship for a number of years. On December 17, 2006 he became ordained as Associate Pastor of Church 3.0 (previously known as Grace Community Church). His involvement in Church 3.0 covered such ministries as youth, leading the worship team, Overcomer’s/Celebrate Recovery, and many other acts of Pastoral care and outreach - anything to serve in the kingdom.
One of the most pivotal points in Fred’s life was the decision to go to Lifeline Outreach Rehabilitation Center in Whittier, California for a full year in 2000. His life was forever changed by that decision. Then, Frederick trusted God completely and lived a life of transparency, reconciliation, and accountability. He was selfless, lived to please God, and allowed God to order his steps. There is no doubt his spiritual legacy will live on in the many lives that he touched.
Frederick leaves to cherish in his memory, his wife Valerie; four children, Tiombé, Mia, Cara, and Frederick III; grandchildren, Ashari, Jalen, Aubree, Brandon, and Arielle; mother, Alice L. Paige-Morrell; siblings, Dr. Barrett S, Paige (preceded in death), Renea Paige McKinney, Natoshia Crockett (preceded in death), Tricia Paige; in-laws, Kenneth Hutchings, Keith Crockett Sr., and Harvey McKinney; nieces and nephews, Maurice Clark, Keith Crockett II, Dijonae Crockett, Ayana Crockett, and Antonio Crockett. A host of cousins, family, and adopted children. Devoted spiritual confidants, Pastor Jeff Simmons, Dr. Kofi Peter Effa, Frank Pennington, Associate Bishop and Pastor Marshall “Jamie” Green Jr., Reverend Frank Lewis Sr., and Evangelist Valerie “Val” Jackson.
Despite his illness, you could find him counseling, preaching, and worshipping from his hospital bed - caring for, and encouraging others.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at LifePoint Church, 1701 Emory Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136. Repast will follow for family and church members at Church 3.0 – 65 E Main Street, Westminster, MD 21157
