Gary Walker Hardman

Gary Walker Hardman, age 62 of Taneytown, Maryland passed away May 18, 2024 at Bridging Life (Dove House) hospice in Westminster, Maryland after a long bout with cancer. Gary was born March 1, 1962 in Cheverly, Maryland. He was the son of the late Edwin Louis Hardman and Constance Gertrude Hardman. He was the husband of Katherine Irene Hardman.

Gary spent his career in the utilities and construction trades. He was employed by the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as a safety site manager.

Gary enjoyed model train collecting, fishing, sports and spending time with his dog. Surviving are his children, Carly A. Hardman of Winchester, Virginia, Paul W. Hardman of Frederick, Maryland, Karen M. Hardman of Winchester, Virginia, Joseph M. Hardman of Lantana, Florida and Elizabeth S. Hardman of Salt Lake City, Utah. Grandchildren, Dylan Sejas, Devin Snyder, Alexis Snyder, Jasper Hardman, and Madeline Hardman. Brothers Bruce Hardman, Steve Hardman, Kenneth Hardman, sister-in law Kathryn Hardman and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by son Thomas A. Hardman.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024 beginning at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baust United Church of Christ cemetery, 2950 Old Taneytown Rd, Westminster, MD 21158.
