George Ronald Pickavance

George Ronald Pickavance, 84, of Westminster, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side. Born October 4, 1939 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Margaret and Harold Pickavance. He was the beloved husband of the late Betty Pickavance.

He was a land surveyor and former co-owner of BPR. He enjoyed his work and loved his coworkers. He was an avid reader and golfer, he enjoyed history and trains. He loved spending time with his family and friends. George was a member of Hilltop Assembly of God.

He is survived by his daughters Nicole Daniels and husband Isaac, Tammy Kron and husband Evan and Linda Clark; brother Tom Pickavance and wife Pat; grandchildren Alice, Lincoln, Hope, Hannah, Ryan, Eric, Jordan, Jenna, Emily and Levi; great-grandchildren Catalina, Jackson, Carter, Zebadiah, George, Landon and Wilhelmina; nieces and nephew Tara, Steve and Kelly.

He was predeceased by his daughter Denise Pickavance and brother Frank Pickavance.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private at Loudon Park Cemetery.
