Gilbert Elwood Drechsler, Sr., 81, of Westminster, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Dove House. Born March 1, 1943, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late George Drechsler, Sr. and Myrle Louise Fair Drechsler. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Lee Drechsler.
Before retiring he was a plumber and steamfitter. He enjoyed his back yard oasis of flowers. He enjoyed gardening and working in his garage.
Survived by his sons, Gilbert E. Drechsler, Jr. of Westminster and Randy L. Drechsler and wife Kelly, of New Windsor, one sister, Betty Cummings of Westminster and one brother Clarence Drechsler of Manchester. Also survived by four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five siblings, Louise M. Groomes, George Drechsler, Jr., Herman Drechsler, Lindsay Drechsler and Lesley Drechsler.
