Harry Byron Corcoran, 82, of Westminster, died Friday, May 2, 2025, at his residence at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born September 13, 1942 in Columbus, GA, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Averett) Corcoran and Harry Byron Corcoran. He was the beloved husband of Emma (Brownlee) Corcoran.
He obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree from UNC-Greensboro and completed additional graduate work at Steven F. Austin State University in Texas. He taught art classes at the elementary through college level. After the birth of his daughter, he worked as a Contract Specialist for General Services Administration. Throughout his career and after his retirement he continued to exercise his art talent in creating sculpture and watercolors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed creating his own flies for fly fishing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughter Jennifer Corcoran and husband Dr. Bradley Strunk of Marriottsville and two grandchildren Byron and Evan Strunk.
He was predeceased by brothers Claude and Wilson Corcoran and sister Elizabeth Browder.
