Herbert Lindemeyr, Jr.

Herbert Lindemeyr, Jr., 77, of Taneytown, died Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Carroll Hospice at Northwest.  Born June 29, 1943 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Martha (Orr) Lindemeyr and Herbert Lindemeyr, Sr.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Patricia Lindemeyr and son Brian Lindemeyr of Dundalk.

Besides his wife and son he is survived by his other children John Malatesta and wife Mary of North Carolina; Michael Malatesta and wife Jennifer of Baltimore; William Ward and wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach and Holly Finn and husband Paul of York, PA; and a brother Philip Lindemeyr.  Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He retired after working 31 years as a Baltimore City Police Officer.  He started out in the Northern District and also worked in Tactical and Marine Units and retired from the Northwest Distrtrict.  He served in the Army National Guard.

He was a member of the Woodsboro American Legion, enjoyed boating in Raystown, 50’s music and trains.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Lorraine Park Cemetery in Woodlawn.
