Pastor Homer L. “Buddy” Nutting, Jr., 82, of Finksburg, died Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Dove House. Born October 1, 1938 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Homer Lorenzo Nutting, Sr. and Mary Belle King. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Pastor Donna Lee Nutting who died September 23, 2020.
Before retiring he was a truck driver and Pastor. He was a member of Reisterstown Church of the Brethren. He served in the Navy from 1955 – 1959. He was also a member and Past President of the Maryland Bowhunters Society.
He is survived by his children Roxanne Jackson and husband Wayne of Taneytown, Raymond Nutting and wife Cara of Hanover, PA; grandchildren Tyler Jackson, Kayla Jackson, Brandon Nutting, Colby Jackson, Wesley Nutting and Natalie Nutting.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at 254 E. Main Street, Westminster.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Shirley Barley officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in honor of Homer to Roxanne Jackson or Raymond Nutting to help offset funeral expenses. Any remaining funds will be donated by the family to the American Diabetes Association.
