Howard Joseph Peacock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024, at the age of 85. He leaves behind a cherished legacy of kindness, integrity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

Born on December 22, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, Howard was the son of the late William and Elsie Peacock. He attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962. Following his military service, Howard continued his commitment to public service as a dedicated member of the Baltimore City Police Department from 1962 to 1998.

Throughout his retirement years, Howard found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly spending quality time with his beloved family in the comfort of his home. He enjoyed staying informed about current events and sports, and his door was always open to neighbors, with his home becoming a hub of activity during the summer pool days and weekly Sunday dinners year-round.

Howard will forever be remembered for his unconditional love and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife Mary and a guiding father to daughter Kimberly and sons Daniel, Christopher, and Terrance. Howard took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill and Tom (Moose). Despite the lively atmosphere of his home, it was always characterized by warmth, laughter, and boundless love.

Howard's legacy of kindness, wisdom, and indomitable spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer be with us, his memory will continue to thrive in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a memorial service to celebrate Howard's remarkable life on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 254 East Main Street, Westminster, Maryland 21157.
