James Doyle IV

James Doyle IV, 91, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Carroll Hospital in Westminster, Maryland.  Born November 18, 1931, he was the son of the late James and Frances Doyle. He was the husband of the late Thelma “Sue” Stinefelt Doyle, his wife of 54 years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the Elks, the Moose, the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed his late wife’s collection of cats.

He owned and operated Doyle Excavating Company, Doyle Home Builders, and Doyle Home Improvement Company.

Surviving is daughter Ruth Doyle of Smyrna, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Breanna Doyle of South Riding, Virginia; beloved grandchildren Caleb Traenkner and his wife Megan; and Madeleine, John and Abigail Doyle; brothers William E. Doyle and wife Pat, and Thomas E. Doyle and wife Margaret; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Charles J Doyle.

In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. Services will be private.

Cremation services were handled at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services in Westminster.
