Janet Marie Piern, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025 at the age of 84. Janet was the youngest of six children, born on December 15,1940 at her home in Vanderbilt, PA to John and Anna Wilson. She was surrounded by family and loved ones during her final hours.

Janet met the love of her life and beloved husband, Cap of 64 years. She was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, love and support for her family, friends, and community.

Janet worked as a school secretary throughout her career in Pennsylvania, ultimately at Sandymount Elementary School and West Middle School in Carroll County, MD. After her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Carroll Hospital, cruise vacations with her husband and friends, and gardening. She had a passion to shop, and found great pleasure in finding bargains for all she knew.

She is survived by her husband Cap; her children, Kim, Brad, Brian and wife Monica; and grandchild, Zach. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Vanderbilt, PA.
