Janice Marie Cool

Janice Marie Cool, 87, of Hanover, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was welcomed into the loving arms of her late husband Guy “Sam” Cool. Born August 30, 1937 in Patapsco, MD, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Knight, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Lang Knight.

Before retiring she worked in electrical manufacturing for many decades. After retirement she enjoyed working part time at Hanover Lanes. Janice valued her time with friends and family, going shopping, playing bingo, baking and crafting. Janice was a member of the Patapsco Methodist church for many years. More recently, she became an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd in Hanover, Pa.

She is survived by her brother Ronald Knight and wife Brenda, her children, son Gary “Mark” Raver, daughter, Renee Fato and husband Frankie, daughter Joyce Barnes, step-daughter Elaine Braun and husband Allen, grandchildren Amy Hill and husband Christopher, Brittany Hennigan and husband Jett, and Connie Cando and husband Bradley, step-grandchildren Olivia Phillips and husband Eric, Charity Fox and husband Cameron, great-grandchildren Rylee Fowler and Pierce Hill, Bailee, Brooklyn, and Baker Hennigan, Mackenzie Cando, Harper and Hannah Phillips, Caleb and Cody Fox.

She was predeceased by daughter Darlene Grammer, brother Woodrow “Buddy” Knight, Jr., daughter-in-law Adaline “Kay” Raver, granddaughter Ashley Raver, and great-grandson Logan Cando.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeffrey Reaver, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover, PA.
