Janice B. Thomson

Janice B. Thomson, 78, of Fairfield, PA passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024 with her family by her side. Born October 7, 1946 in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Jesse L. and Harriett (Lemmon) Bitzer Jr.

Janice graduated from Westminster High School in 1964, then went on to attend Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She found joy in cooking for her loved ones, spending time with her family, and traveling to sporting events to support her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Janice was the beloved wife of the late Steven H. Thomson to whom she was married for 57 years. She is survived by her son Scott S. Thomson and wife Carrie V. Thomson of Waynesboro, PA, daughter Staci R. Brennan and husband Martin P. Brennan of Orrtanna, PA, and her three grandchildren, Braden S. Thomson and wife Kristen Thomson of Salisbury, NC, Rebecca M. Thomson and fiancé Nathan Little of Durham, NC and Allie E. Thomson of Ashland, VA. She is also survived by her brother Jesse L. Bitzer III of St. Augustine, FL, brother J. Kevin Bitzer and wife Lori Bitzer of Glen Rock, PA, sister-in-law Judith A. Martin and husband Fred Martin of San Antonio, TX, and Bob Ensor of Manchester, MD, along with many nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held for immediate family.
