Janice Lynn Wenck Obituary

Janice Lynn Wenck, 74, of Taneytown died Thursday, March 26, 2026 at home. Born November 9, 1951 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Adrian “Tony” Torres and Effie (Stoner) Torres. Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joseph M. Wenck.


Before retiring she worked for the Antrim 1844 for 20 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown. She loved her family and her favorite holiday was Christmas.


Besides her husband she is survived by her children Joseph Wenck (Tiffany) of Severn; Christina Spencer (Craig) of Hanover, PA; and Stephanie Rozankowski (Matthew) of Abingdon; sisters Sharon Kerfoot (Robert) of Dundalk; Donna Moorman (Paul) of York, PA and Sandra “Sandy” Conway of Dundalk; grandchildren Gabriella and Evangeline Wenck of Severn; Emersyn, Ryleigh and Cameron Rozankowski of Abingdon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Paul Wenck (Debbie) of Perryville; Jeffrey Wenck of Dundalk and Bryan Wenck (Mitch) of Dundalk. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by a granddaughter Adrianna Wenck and sister-in-law Bonnie Fracacassi and brother-in-law Bobby Wenck.


The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick Street, Taneytown, MD.  Family eulogy will begin at 10:45 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to BridgingLife Development Office, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
