Jean A. (Lawton) Jackson, 85, of New Windsor, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at her residence. Born June 29, 1935 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Miller Lawton and Arthur Lawton. She was the wife of the late Roy Glenn Jackson, Sr.
Before retiring she worked for Pantry Pride and Giant. She was a former member of Women of the Moose No. 897.
She is survived by children Jenny Helmstetter and husband Gary of New Windsor; Barbara Mak and husband Mike of Owings Mills; Roy G. Jackson, Jr. and wife Joyce of Westminster; Wayne Jackson and wife Roxanne of Taneytown; other children John Minnick, Paul Minnick and wife Edey, Patricia Balling, Michael Minnick and wife Teresa; grandchildren Tammy Johnston, Joanna Smith, Thomas D. Smith, Daniel Helmstetter, Mike Mak, Jr., Tyler Jackson, Kayla Jackson and Colby Jackson. Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers Richard, David and Bruce Lawton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, Florida 33607.
