Jennie Martinez

Jennie Martinez, 86, of Westminster, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Carroll Lutheran Village.  Born July 17, 1934 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Beatriz Padilla and Nicholas Petrakis.  She was the wife of the late Clovis (Marty) Martinez.

She is survived by children William Martinez and wife Nancy, Steven Martinez and Peggy Lee Martinez, grandchildren Scott and Alejandro Martinez, Kamea Johnson, Kim Thummel, as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

Jennie was always full of love and hugs for everyone she met.  She was an avid bingo player and loved to spend time with her friends playing multiple times a week.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  Jennie was wonderful at solving puzzles, especially word scrambles, and loved to watch game shows and listen to mariachi music.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Memorial services will begin at 5 p.m. 

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
