Jerry A. Ensor, 86, of Westminster, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Nova Springs Assisted Living. Born November 11, 1937 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Abram G. Ensor and Anna Dixon Ensor. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Ruth Ann Olivieri Ensor who died July 25, 2023. Before enjoying his retirement, he was a field inspector for Maryland – Virginia Milk Producers. He graduated from Belair High School in 1955 where he excelled in sports. He played outside linebacker and halfback on the 1955 undefeated football team that went 9-0. He also played baseball where he was a scholar athlete. Jerry was a 4-H member and a dairy judge at the 1958 World’s Fair in Brussels, Belgium. He met his wife Ruth on the USS United States on the way to Brussels, Belgium. He enjoyed gardening, watching Orioles baseball, football and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children Joseph J. Ensor (Linda) of Finksburg, Michael E. Ensor (Amy) of Westminster, Mary H. Perry (James) of Westminster and Julie A. Chatham (Jason) of Upperco; brothers Thomas P. Ensor (Charlotte Ann) of Jarrettsville, Richard E. Ensor (Barbara) of Forest Hill, sister Ann M. Firca (Donald) of Medina, OH; grandchildren Peter Ensor, Michael S. Ensor (Colleen), Jennifer Fisher (Josh), Melissa Petit (Liam), Dylan Perry (Bryanna), LeAnn Perry, Steven and HunterChatham, great-grandchildren Benjamin and Ryan Ensor,Jackson and Julianna Fisher. He was predeceased by a grandson Andrew Ensor. Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Emmitsburg, MD.
