Jesse Lloyd Turner, Sr., 84, of York, PA., died Monday, evening, October 20th, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Westminster with his loving family by his side. Born January 5, 1941, in Rosedale, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Luther W. Turner, Sr. and Lovie May Ponds Turner. He was the husband of the late Lucille Margaret Serio Turner.
Before retiring he was an Accountant. He served in the United States Army, the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post #0945 in York, PA.
He is survived by two children Josephine M. Schaeffer (Joe) of Westminster and Jesse L. Turner (Tracy) of Westminster; three sisters Evelyn Mills of Hueytown, AL., Dorothy Whitaker of Eupora, MS., and Shirley Turner of Forest, MS; also survived by six grandchildren Jessica Shockney (Steven), Jennifer Schultz (Matthew), Jaclyn Love (Travis), Jesse Turner III, Matthew Turner (Alessandra) and Joseph Turner. And eight great-grandchildren- Violet Shockney, Juliette Shockney, James Schultz, Zachary Shockney, Levi Schultz, Bodhi Love, Hank Shockney and Sullivan Love.
He was predeceased by seven siblings Ola Bell McVey, Eva Dell Trimm, Louise Davenport, Frances Turner, Harvey Turner, Luther Turner and Leonard Turner.
A private inurnment will be held at Patapsco Cemetery.
