Joanne Basso Pinkas, 91, of Hanover, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Homewood at Plum Creek. Born August 8, 1933 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Basso and Anna Crisafulli Basso. Her loving husband Matthew Gerard “Mike” Pinkas, Sr. passed away May 21, 2011.

She was also predeceased by her brother Joseph Basso, a son-in-law David Yealy who passed away July 7, 2023 and granddaughter Andrea Yealy who passed away September 16, 2000.

Before retiring Joanne worked as a waitress at Angelo’s Restaurant and Hoffman’s Ice Cream. She was a member of The Chapel in Littlestown, PA. She is survived by her children Michele K. Yealy of Littlestown, PA, Yvonne Dell (Phillip) of Finksburg, MD and Matthew G. Pinkas, Jr. (Tammie) of Littlestown, PA; grandchildren James Dell, Joseph Dell (Samantha), Cole Pinkas (Heather), Cameron Pinkas (Rachael), Bethany Pinkas and Gregory Dell; Great-Grandchildren Aiden, Aubrey, Alexa, Bryan, Claire, Sophie and Ethan. Also survived by a nephew Steve Basso.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St. Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with her Pastor Rev. Scott Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
