John Allen Smith

John Allen Smith, 79, of Westminster, died Monday, May 10, 2021 at Carroll Hospital.  Born January 25, 1942 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Maria (Blevins) Smith.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty Ann Smith.

Before retiring he worked in manufacturing.  He was a member of Westminster Baptist Church and born again believer. He loved watching his children playing sports, watching the Orioles and Ravens as well as cooking for the family and listening to the Statler Brothers.

Besides his wife, he is survived by sons Phil Smith and wife Paula of Hanover, PA; Russell Smith and wife Diane of Eldersburg; siblings Janet Wilhide and husband Paul of North Carolina; Millie Webb and husband Dale of Sykesville; Dorothy Poole of Eldersburg; Charles Smith of Florida and Ronnie Smith and wife Deanna of South Carolina; grandchildren Brianna, Tiffani, Allysia, Zachary, Ryan and Madison and 2 great-granddaughters.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Westminster Baptist Church, 354 Crest Lane, Westminster, MD 21157.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
