Jon Crosby III Obituary

Jon Chapman Crosby, III, 67, of Westminster, died Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Bridging Life Dove House.  Born April 19, 1954 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Anne Elizabeth Grimes and Jon C. Crosby, II. 

He was predeceased by his sister, Mia Vranek and father-in-law, Thomas C. Clarke.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Carol Clarke Crosby. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Amanda L. Wendal and husband George Edward Wendal, 3rd of Eldersburg; sister Wendy Gatzke and husband Fred of Murrells Inlet, SC; brother-in-law Michael Vranek; sister -in-law Nancy Wittle and husband, Mark; mother-in-law Lucille Clarke; aunt-in-law Betty Clarke Renk; three grandchildren: Daphne, George, and Iris; one niece, Danielle and 5 nephews: Eric, Chris, Michael, Ryan and Sean.

Jon most recently worked 17 years in the X-Ray Processor Service industry before retiring.  He was a history buff and animal lover.  Jon’s hobbies included writing poetry, woodworking, horseback riding and working on cars.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Donations to the Carroll County Humane Society in his memory would be greatly appreciated.
