Joseph Michael Wenck, Sr., 74, of Taneytown, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at his residence. Born October 20, 1951 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Stafford) Wenck and George Wenck. He was the beloved husband of the late Janice Lynn Wenck who died March 26, 2026.
Before retiring he was employed as a Forklift Driver for GE and Unilever. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown and Knights of Columbus. Joe enjoyed collecting trains, Ocean City and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by children Joseph Wenck, Jr. (Tiffany) of Severn; Christina Spencer (Craig) of Hanover, PA; and Stephanie Rozankowski (Matthew) of Abingdon; grandchildren Gabriella and Evangeline Wenck of Severn; Emersyn, Ryleigh and Cameron Rozankowski of Abingdon; brothers Paul Wenck (Debbie) of Perryville; Jeffrey Wenck of Dundalk and Bryan Wenck (Mitch) of Dundalk; sisters-in-law Sharon Kerfoot (Robert) of Dundalk; Donna Moorman (Paul) of York, PA and Sandra “Sandy” Conway of Dundalk. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter Adrianna Wenck, sister Bonnie Fracassi and brother Bobby Wenck.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick Street, Taneytown, MD. Family eulogy will begin at 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
