Julie Ann Apple, 66, of Westminster passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born November 9, 1959 in Sunbury, PA, she was the daughter of John W. “Woody” Packer, Sr. of Northumberland, PA and the late Anna Grace (Lewis) Packer. She was the loving wife of Kevin Apple.

Julie was a 1977 graduate of Westminster High School where she played volleyball and tennis and served as class president and other positions, was also named “Best Dressed”, and received the French award.  She  obtained a bachelor’s degree. She started out her working career as a teller at Union National Bank then went to work for BGE. She retired from T. Rowe Price as a Systems Analyst.

Julie and Kevin enjoyed going to their vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, boating, playing pickle ball with her buddies and was a home and holiday decorator like no other. Julie cherished her grandchildren and going to their sporting events. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by children Abby Fletcher, Annie Grandinetti and Tommy Fletcher (Shannon), grandchildren Ethan, Andrew and Lucas Grandinetti, TJ Rheubottom and Landon and Emri Fletcher, siblings Woody Packer (Veronica), Dean Packer, Todd Packer (Cyndy), Jenny Kerwin (Chris) and Tommy Packer (Sheila), and mother-in-law Jane Purdie. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

She was predeceased by father-in-law John Thomas “Tom” Apple and sisters-in-law Valerie Markle and Natalie Apple.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. A funeral to celebrate Julie’s life will be held at 1 p.m.  Interment will follow at Westminster Cemetery.
