Kathryn Marie “Katie” Geiman Baker, 72, of Westminster, died Friday, October 10, 2025 at BridgingLife Dove House. Born October 25, 1952 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late David C. Geiman, Sr. and Betty Mae Yingling Geiman. Her husband Gary K. Baker died January 12, 2011 and her grandson Hudson Gary Baker died March 14, 2022.
She graduated from Westminster High School in 1970 and Marietta College in 1974. Early in her career she taught English at Francis Scott Key High School. She was a Real Estate Agent with Long and Foster. She enjoyed going to the beach, reading her steamy books, watching her sons, nieces and nephews play sports, eating crabs and spending time with her grandson Macklin who brought joy to her in her last year of life. Despite any adversity that came her way she was always a positive person.
She is survived by her children Trent Baker and Grant Baker (Sarah); brother David C. Geiman, Jr. (Judy); grandson Macklin Baker all of Westminster; nieces Dr. Beth Ferri (Steve), Bonnie Campbell (Bobby), Dr. Sandra Ruby (Mark), Bridget Dickensheets (Mike); nephew Dr. Joseph Geiman (Dr. Gina Henderson); also survived by 15 great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nieces.
The family will receive friends at Fletcher’s Funeral Home from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025. A celebration of life service will begin at 1 p.m. with Deacon Don Myers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Airpark Animal Hospital, 1000 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158 in care of the Margie Knoll Fund.
