Keith Kenneth Gist, 67 of Westminster, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. Born June 21, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles Kenneth Gist and Mary Jane (Kaufman) Gist and the son-in-law of the late Richard Boone and Dorothy (Black) Boone. He is survived by his beloved wife Debbie Jean (Boone) Gist of 49 years.
He was the President of Pride Painting Contractors. He was a 1975 graduate of Westminster High School where he was in the marching band. Keith was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles fan. He enjoyed helping his father-in-law and son in the food stand at the Union Bridge Fire Company Carnival. Keith enjoyed his yearly trips to Disney, to Jamaica, to his second home in Aruba, and to Sarasota to watch the Orioles. Besides his wife, he is survived by son Ryan Keith Gist; daughter Tara Nicole Gist Mobley and husband Chris; grandchildren Nicole E. Mobley, Natalie J. Mobley and Brett G. Vanlaer; brother David Gist and wife Georgia; sister-in-law Cindy Trout and husband Terry; special cousin Lisa Hemler and husband Joe; stepmother Eileen Gist; stepsisters Jalna Brown, Blythe Zechman, and Lori Graham; nephew and business partner Greg Gist and wife Janine; nieces and nephews: Caitlyn, Tyler (Carly), Josiah, Jesse (Amber), Johannah Trout. Courtney (Luke) Imperato. Carleigh (J.C.) Cooper. Cory (Katie) Hemler. Brittany (Chris) Ahalt. And special friends Mary Ellen and Melvin Smith.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon with Rev. Jerome Beers officiating. Interment will follow at Deer Park Cemetery in Smallwood, Maryland.
