Kenneth M. Seitz, 84, of Westminster, died Monday, September 12, 2022, at his residence where he grew up. Born April 28, 1938 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Margaret R. (Barnes) Seitz and Curvin M. Seitz. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jean L. Seitz.
After graduating high school, he worked at Stu’s Music Shop where he formed a band called the Twilight Three Plus One where they continued to play for 40 years. He later worked for BGE and Westinghouse (now Northrop Grumman) for 31 years. After he retired he worked part time for Jeff Barnes Chevrolet for 20 years delivering car parts.
He was a life member of the Westminster Elks Lodge No. 2277 for 57 years and attended St. John (Leister’s) Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and was on the church council and cemetery committee. He enjoyed golfing, playing tennis, bowling and traveling.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a son Kenneth M. Seitz, Jr. and companion Karen Sollott of Westminster; grandchildren Hannah Jean Nason and husband Erik of Harrodsburg, Kentucky and Sarah Seitz and companion Mike Johnson of Auburn, Maine; great-grandchildren Grace Marie and Isabelle Jean Nason and another great-granddaughter on the way.
He was predeceased by brothers Douglas Carroll Seitz and Edward C. Seitz.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 12 to 3 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in a procession to St. John’s (Leister’s) Cemetery from the funeral home.
