Larry Kenneth Blizzard, Sr., 84, of Sykesville, died peacefully Saturday, September 11, 2021. Born November 15, 1936 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Kenneth B. Blizzard and Prudentia “Denny” C. Myers Blizzard.
He was a retired warehouse and transportation senior manager for Howard Johnson Restaurants, Dart Drug, Smelkinson Sysco Food Distributors and ARA Distribution. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 68 in Cockeysville.
He was known as considerate, kind, and thoughtful. He was the Backbone of the family who all could come to get advice and a compassionate listening ear. In later years he enjoyed working in the family home renovation business and helping any family member, friend or neighbor.
He is survived by son Larry Blizzard, Jr. and wife Maritza and her daughter Viviana Wilches of Timonium; daughters Holli Ratté of Sykesville and Heidi Housman and husband John of New Windsor; sister Carole Walderman of Clarksville; grandchildren Sheena Housman and husband Chris Gick, Sierra Housman Holland and husband Shawn, Hunter Housman, Scott Ratté, Danica Ratté and fiancé Fabrice Chatain, Devin Ratté, Tyler Blizzard and wife Emily, Logan Blizzard and wife Alyssa and Jillian Blizzard and fiancé AJ Prejean and great-granddaughter Theodora Holland.
Private memorial and inurnment will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park at a later date.
