Larry Ray Caple

Larry Ray Caple, 77, of Westminster, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at BridgingLife Dove House after a long illness.  Born May 6, 1946 in Patapsco, MD, he was the son of the late Emil A. Caple and Emma LaRue (Shamer) Caple.

Larry graduated from Towson State Teacher’s College and majored in History.  He was employed as a teacher and also worked in sales.  He was a veteran of the Air Force and enjoyed many sports and classical music. 

He is survived by sisters Betty Munshaur of New Windsor and Sonja Tracey of New Oxford, PA.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by his former wife Ann Kefauver, sisters Eleanor Barnes, Anna May Weber, Rose M. von Gunten, June Green and Shirley E. Dawson, grandparents Nina Taylor Shamer and Warren Ewing Shamer and Jacob Caple and Mary Westaway Caple.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Barbara Allen officiating.  Interment will be in Patapsco United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Patapsco United Methodist Church, 2930 Patapsco Road Finksburg, Maryland 21048.  Flowers are also welcome at the funeral home.
