Larry Eugene Naill Obituary

Larry Eugene Naill, 73, of Taneytown, died peacefully at home on Friday, May 24, 2024. Born on April 6, 1951, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Raymond D. and Betty I. Naill. He was the loving husband of Cathy L. Naill, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage and 45 years of companionship.

Larry is also survived by his children: Melissa Eltringham and husband Dan of Venice, FL; Tracy Rill and husband Ryan of Taneytown; Tina Barnes of Littlestown, PA; Larry Naill Jr. and wife Laurie of Westminster; Randy Naill of Taneytown; and Stephanie Cooper and husband Lazar of Taneytown. He is also survived by his sister Brenda Howard and husband Ronnie of Taneytown, Linda Benson of Westminster, brother Gary Naill and wife Edna Mae of Westminster, 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was a 1969 graduate of Westminster High School, Larry dedicated his career to hard work and loyalty, spending 28 years in management before retiring as a baker from Thomas' English Muffins. His unparalleled work ethic meant he never missed a day of work and was always there for his family when they needed him most. Larry often shared fond memories of racing his 1972 green Chevy Nova SS around town and attending lively parties with his wife.

Music was a significant part of Larry's life. He enjoyed Rock and Roll, Motown, and Country Music, with a special fondness for Lainey Wilson. Tennessee held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed frequent visits to Pigeon Forge and flea markets.

Larry loved company and cherished spending time with his family, especially enjoying Maryland crabs and fried oysters. Known for his playful spirit, he loved to joke around and tease his loved ones, particularly his children, as a way of expressing his affection.

Despite life's ups and downs, Larry's love for his wife, Cathy, never wavered. He expressed his gratitude to her for being by his side, caring for him, and loving him until the very end. Their bond was unbreakable, and he made sure she knew how much she meant to him.

Larry also had a special place in his heart for his favorite dog, Ringo, who brought him immense joy and companionship.

Larry Eugene Naill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
