Born on December 7, 1946, Larry led a life marked by service, dedication, and patriotism. He served as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Vietnam War, where he was honored with the Distinguished Flying Cross for his bravery and heroism. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Carroll Vista Golf Club, loved duck pin bowling, played ukulele (with one finger), and enjoyed old movies and British mystery shows. In his later years, Larry most enjoyed sitting peacefully on his screened porch, listening to the birds and watching the horses in the pasture. His love for travel and unique dining experiences brought him closer to friends and family, creating cherished memories for all.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Brown Bennett, and son, Jonathan Spofford Bennett. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer George Bennett, his mother, Kathryn Elaine (Chalus) Attamian, and his brother, Richard Scott Bennett.
