Leonard L. “Len” Sprinkle, 92, of Westminster, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg, PA. Born September 8, 1928 in Baltimore County, he was the son of the late Ida (Walter) Sprinkle and Fred G. Sprinkle. He is survived by his beloved wife Marlene (Kennedy) Sprinkle.
He retired as the Chief of the Baltimore County Bureau of Highways. He was a pilgrim of the Moose Lodge No. 1381, where he was very active, VFW Molleville Farm Post No. 467 and American Legion Carroll Post No. 31. He served in the Army and enjoyed gardening.
Besides his wife, he is survived by children Linda Gilbert and husband Richard “Dick” Lowry of Salisbury, Susan Shaulis of White Hall, Dora Cooper and husband Ron of Glen Burnie, Guy Smith of Westminster, Sharon Wright of Florida and Katherine Arney and husband Gary of New Oxford, PA. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 2, 2021from 1 to 4 p.m. and Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
