Leslie “Les” Howard Rhoades, 77, of Westminster, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Dove House. Born May 8, 1944 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Albert Rhoades and Ethel Szymanski. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lillie A. Rhoades.
Before retiring he held several accounting and management positions. The highlight of his career was when he served as President of Wite-Out Products in the 1980’s and 1990’s. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Brooklyn. He was an avid Ravens and Oriole fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Christopher J. “C.J.” Rhoades of York, PA; daughter Stacey L. Kropp and husband Brian of Westminster; daughter-in-law Lisa Smith of Westminster; sister Linda Schmidt and step-sister Jeannie Carter. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son Anthony D. “Tony” Smith on November 10, 2019, daughter-in-law Pamela J. Rhoades on March 26, 2021, brother Albert Clifton (Cliff) Rhoades, and step-sister Kathleen Hoke.
Due to the pandemic services will be private. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
