Lewey Keith King, 98 1/2, of Westminster died Thursday, February 1, 2024 at home. Born July 27, 1925 at the family home in Rose Hill, VA. He was the son of the late Bennie Hobart King and Vola Kate Rosenbaum King. His wife of 59 years, Mary Moffett King died June 23, 2012.
Before retiring, he was a machinist at Glenn L. Martin, was a salesman at Montgomery Wards, and was a correctional officer at the Cromwell Bridge Facility.
He served in the Army during World War II in the 75th Division. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door, super sixties, and the choir.
His hobbies included stained glass, finishing antique furniture, and yardwork.
Survived by two sons David K. King of Westminster and Michael R. King (Barbara A.) of Westminster, one sister Barbara King Luckenbaugh (Richard) of Westminster, one granddaughter Crystal Ann King of Westminster, four great-grandchildren: Lily Ann, T.J. Natalie, and Nash, two nieces, three nephews and their families and many great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother and sister: Aubrey G. King and Velma Jean King Todd.
Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Uniontown, MD with military honors.
