Linda Christine Mathews, 74, died Friday, December 27, 2024, at home. Born September 15, 1950 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William N. Chalk and Augusta Burton Chalk. She was the wife of the late Ronald Carl Mathews Sr. who died July 12, 2018.

Before retiring she was a Sunday school teacher and manager of a video store. She enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, looking after her grandchildren and being with family.

She is survived by her children Ronald C. Mathews Jr. and wife Patty; Michael C. Mathews and fiancé Kayla Petry, and Augusta D. Wilson; 4 grandchildren Yancy Lee Wilson, Jamie Putman, Bristol Mathews and Michael C. Mathews Jr. and a great-granddaughter Saphira Serio.

She was predeceased by 3 siblings; Wanda Grason, William and Wesley Chalk.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 12 noon at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
