Linda Sue Thompson

Linda Sue Thompson, 76, of Gettysburg, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Transitions in Gettysburg, Pa. Born March 15, 1950 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Francis Elvin Snyder and Mae Belle Hooper McKinney.

She loved doing jig saw and crossword puzzles, playing games on the computer and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her 2 children Tammy J. West of Gettysburg and Fred Thompson III and wife Brandy of New Windsor; 6 siblings; 6 grandchildren Heather Beck and husband Carter of Tennessee, Brittany McLaren of Gettysburg, Brandon Cook of Westminster, Talon James Thompson of New Windsor, and Charlie Mae Thompson of New Windsor; and 3 great-grandchildren Charles, Aaron and Lizzy.

She was predeceased by daughter Lisa L. Snyder and sister Sharon.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, MD.
