Louis Marsit Obituary

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our father Louis Robert Marsit , on July 12, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 21, 1961. The son of Betty and George Grauer and the late Thomas E. Peregoy. He was proceeded in death by his beloved sister Debra Smith and nephew Kenneth Smith.

Louie was a hardworking man with an unforgettable personality. He had a passion for craftsmanship, woodworking and enjoying anything he could create with his hands. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan. He loved riding his bike, crabbing, fishing, and being on the water. Those moments were a reflection of who he was, someone who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Although he still had dreams, plans and places he hoped to return to, he was taken from us far too soon. Above all else, Louie loved his family. They were his greatest source of happiness and pride. He loved telling stories, sharing memories, and finding a way to make everyone laugh. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and took great pride in teaching them how to pick Maryland blue crabs, a tradition they will always remember.

He is survived by daughter Kortney Troop and husband Derek, daughter Britney Rolle and husband Linwood, daughter Tonie Marsit and wife Brittany, son Jacob Richard and daughters Julia and Jenna Marsit; grandchildren William, Kennedy, Elijah, Emma, Derek Jr., Valentina and Amelia; great grandson Branden Jr.; brother in-law Benjamin Smith; brother Thomas B. Peregoy and wife Laura, brother Michael L. Peregoy and wife Sandra; nieces and nephews Joseph, Shannon, Amber, Brooke, Michael, Matthew,  Michael, Danny, Nicholas, Benjamin, Thomas.

Louie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories he gave us, the lessons he taught us and the love he shared so freely. His legacy will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.

Celebration of life services will be private.
