Lucia Gambino, age 99, peacefully entered into heavenly glory on the morning of June 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Marcia Eiler; her granddaughter, Emily Harrell; and Emily’s husband Daniel Harrell. Lucia is now joyfully reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, John Gambino; her son, Mark Gambino; and her son-in-law, Joel Eiler.

Born into a large Italian family in 1925 in Lodi, New Jersey, Lucia met and married John Gambino shortly after WWII. They lived in Mansfield Township, New Jersey until 1969 when they moved to Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. She spent 33 wonderful years there and met dear, lifelong friends. In 2002, Lucia moved to Westminster, Maryland to be closer to her daughter and young granddaughter. That move brought years of closeness and cherished time spent with the people she loved most. She was blessed to, once again, meet wonderful people that became dear friends. While in Westminster she became a devoted member of St. John Catholic Church and lived her life serving others. There are many lucky recipients of Lucia’s amazing homemade soups and delicious rice pudding. One of her greatest joys was giving generously to charities, especially St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Though we will miss her dearly, we rejoice in knowing that Lucia is now home, fully restored and held in the arms of her Savior. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 7, 2025, at St. John Catholic Church in Westminster, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lucia’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
