Lucia Pia Morrison, 88, of Westminster, died on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the Dove House. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest Robert “Bob” Morrison in 2001. They were married on July 4, 1953 in Eritrea, Ethiopia.
Pia was a homemaker, but her true talent was in making people feel loved and charmed by her personality. All who knew her loved her. She was an extraordinarily strong woman who overcame life’s setbacks and troubles with grace and dignity. She was also a talented artist and an excellent cook.
She is survived and deeply loved by her daughter Sheryl Snead and husband Jerry Snead of Westminster, and son David Morrison and wife Donna Ruane Morrison of Kensington, MD; one brother Cesare; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also a beloved Zia to nieces and nephews in Miami and in Italy. Pia is also survived by her cherished sister-in-law Anne and nieces and nephews in New Hampshire.
She was predeceased by her sisters Anna and Lilliana and her daughter Rose O’Brennan.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Westminster.
Private services will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Aspen Hill, Maryland.
