Lucille Abbott Obituary

Lucille Merle Abbott, of Taneytown, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at home with her loving husband by her side.  Born in Prince George’s County, she was the daughter of the late Warren Buddington and Elsie Miller Buddington. She was the loving wife of 25 years to Gilbert “Gil” George Abbott, but they were together for 30 years.  Lucille moved to Taneytown in the 70’s and has been there ever since.

Before retiring she was a book packer at Random House.  She worked full time and was the owner and operator of Mineral Springs Farm, where she bred, raised and showed Appaloosa horses. She loved all horses, but Appaloosa’s were her favorite. Lucille helped Gilbert out with the Mayberry foxhounds and with his beagle’s; she loved the outdoors, birds and life in general.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Jaissa maran Kiael and her significant others Nancy Hardy and Chuck Burke; her son James Walls and wife Nancy; her grandson Kieran Kiael.
