Marie Therese Nevius

Marie Therese Nevius, 88, of Westminster, Maryland passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 in her home after an extended illness.

Born June 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George J. Horn and Mary C. Huber Horn and the wife of the late Charles H. Nevius. She was predeceased by her elder sister and two brothers and survived by her younger sister, Ann Marie.

She was a devoted and loving mother who believed family came first. She was a gifted artist and seamstress and helped to operate the family farm.

She was predeceased by her daughter Caroline Tibbetts and survived by her children Mary Kay Nevius-Maurer and husband George of Westminster; Patricia Nevius of Lineboro; Charles L. Nevius and wife Judy of Westminster; and Teri Mae Nevius-Plona and husband Greg of Westminster; and son-in-law Bruce Tibbetts.

Also, she is survived by six grandchildren and their spouses: Erin Keefer, Tanya Kerr, Dera Fitzgerald, Amber Farran, Bailey Musiol and Carrie Ronayne, and 6 great grandchildren: Mason, Aiden, Ryleigh, Caleb, Honor and Benjamin.

Private services will be held.  Interment will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church Cemetery in Elliottsburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Carroll Hospice.
