Matthew Clinton Davis, 51, of Manchester, died at his home on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Born on February 4, 1974 in Maryland, he was the son of Denise Louise Flater Rickell of Manchester and the late Lee Hunter Davis.

He was a 1992 graduate of North Carroll High School and was employed by Baltimore Recycling Center. He enjoyed music, being a DJ, and going to the Outer Banks with his family.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter Melody S. Davis of Manchester, his brother Brent Samuel Davis of Manchester, sister Megan R. Shaffer (Thomas E. Shaffer) of New Freedom, PA and brother Patrick Elliot Rickell (Kayleen M. Reger) of Westminster; nieces Marleigh Davis and Ellie and Emmy Shaffer, aunts, uncles and cousins; step-father Raymond Rickell of Glen Rock, PA.

There will be a viewing for family and friends from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Lazarus United Church of Christ, 5101 S. Church Street, Lineboro, MD 21102. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with his Pastor, Reverend Rodney Gross, officiating. Interment will follow at Sandymount Cemetery in Finksburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be setting up a college fund for his daughter Melody Davis.
