Melissa Williams, 56, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 13, 2025.  Born December 26, 1968 in Westminster, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Patsy Yingling. 

She is survived by her sister Peggy Pittman and her late husband James Pittman; daughters Demi Williams, Jessica Thayer, husband Jonathan Thayer Jr., Amanda Brown, and one child whom she had parted ways with years ago; many grandchildren; Brooke, Arnett, and Alyssa Thayer, Chloe and Nathanial Sisler.

She is also survived by her niece Ashley Combs, great-nieces Skylar and Makenzie, nephew Raymond Combs and niece Casey Pack and husband Josh Pack, great-nieces and nephew Kyleigh, Reagan, and Mason. 

Melissa enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter Demi. She enjoyed her time in nature, watching and feeding wildlife. Melissa also enjoyed making crafts and baking with her sister. She looked for new adventures everywhere she went. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a service to follow at 7 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Private interment will be held at Westminster Cemetery.
