Michele Neal Bensky Obituary

Michele Neal Bensky, 61, of Westminster, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on February 18, 1964, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Berg) Neal and William Neal. She was the beloved wife of Neil Gary Bensky, her devoted husband of 35 years.

Michele was a proud graduate of Howard High School, Class of 1982, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Art with a concentration in jewelry from Towson University in 1987. She began her career as a jeweler at Hi-Ho Silver Co. in Ellicott City before dedicating herself full-time to raising her family in 1996. For the past decade, she also shared her creativity and energy through her work at The Plant Connection, gardening, landscaping, catering events.

She had a deep love for horses, gardening, hosting gatherings, traveling, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping adventures, dancing, good TV shows, and staying active. She was celebrated for her fearless horseback riding, her cooking, and ability to make any event special. Most of all, she will be remembered for her generous heart and unwavering care for others — always putting people before herself and finding joy in helping those in need.

Above all, Michele’s greatest passion was her family. She was a devoted wife and full-time mother who poured her heart into creating a warm, lively, and loving home. She was always on the go — driving her children to activities, preparing delicious meals, helping with school projects, and ensuring that everyone around her was cared for. Her energy, generosity, and devotion were boundless.

Survived by her loving husband, Neil; her cherished children Kevin (Leah), Amber, Hunter (Stephanie), and Marshall; and her adored grandchildren Harper, Lily, Stanford, Hayden, and Riley, who were the light of her life. Michele is also survived by her brothers Barry Neal and David Neal (Robin), sister-in-law Sue Neal, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her brother William “Bill” Neal and sister Ann Marie Staton.

Through her courageous battle with cancer, Michele remained a source of inspiration, facing every challenge with strength, grace, and that fearless spirit she was known for.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12 p.m. at the Bensky Residence. With memorial services beginning at 2 p.m.
