Mildred "Elaine" Chisholm

Mildred “Elaine” Chisholm, 72, of Fairfield, PA., died on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Taneytown with her loving family by her side. Born in Glyndon on May 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Howard Taylor, Sr. and Reba M. Garver Taylor. She was the wife of the late Hugh David Chisholm, Sr. who died on October 3, 2004, and mother of the late Hugh David Chisholm, Jr. who died on May 31, 1992, and Daniel Howard Chisholm who died on December 11, 2020.

She was employed as the Front Desk Secretary for Dr. Philip Ruzbarsky’s office at Airpark Primary since 1995, and prior to that she worked at Carroll Hospital as a Unit Clerk. She enjoyed bingo, casinos, camping, NASCAR, and going to York to see blue grass singers Jimmy Fortune, Dailey, and Vincent. She enjoyed being with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters, Dawn Marie Chisholm of Fairfield, PA., and Stacey Lee Johnston and husband Matthew of Taneytown; brothers and sisters-in-law Wayne and Helen Taylor of Finksburg, Eddie and Jenny Taylor of Frizzellburg, Ronnie and Cheryl Taylor of Hanover, PA., and Gary and Betty Taylor of Finksburg; grandchildren, Justin Stultz and wife Alyssa, Amanda Stanley and husband Chris, Matthew Johnston, Brittany Johnston, Ryan Johnston, and Devon Kuhn; four great-grandchildren, Brian, Carson, Sophia, and Lucas; and daughter-in-law Tina Kuhn of Emmitsburg. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Christine and Wayne Stoner.

Family will receive friends on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11:00 at the funeral home with Deacon Charles Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
