Nicholas Eugene Wardenfelt Obituary

Nicholas Eugene Wardenfelt, 46, of Westminster, died on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born October 12, 1979, he was the son of the late Larry Eugene Wardenfelt and Stephanie Adele Williams Wardenfelt.


For the past 23 years the Arc of Carroll County has been his home. He enjoyed volunteering at Meals on Wheel and at the Coon Club. He was a dedicated member to the Church of the Open Door. He loved people, music, concerts, visiting with family and friends at picnics, bowling, the Ravens and Orioles, bus trips with Rill’s and watching Duke’s of Hazard. Lynn and Bonnie who supported Nick at his home for many years were like family to Nick along with all his staff at the Arc and at home.


He is survived by his brother Michael S. Moffitt.


The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD 21157. Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Nick’s memory to the Arc of Carroll County, 180 Kriders Church Road, Westminster, Md 21158.
