Paul Daniel Coverstone, 69, of Littlestown, PA, died Monday, June 9, 2025, at his residence.  Born March 12, 1956 in Salinas, CA, he was the son of the late Anita (Wood) Coverstone and William Coverstone.  He was the beloved husband of Stacey Coverstone, his wife of 45 years.

Paul enjoyed many activities, including horseback riding, playing the guitar, photography, target shooting, gardening, and watching football. He especially loved his horses Bill and Dusty and his dog, Buster. Paul also found the beach to be his happy place.

Paul had been a member of the Baha'i Faith since the age of 16.

He attended school in California as a young boy and then in Tuscola, Illinois. He went on to get a Bachelor's degree from Marshall University, a Master's degree from ISIM University, and a PhD in Education from Capella University. Paul spent his career working in IT-related fields, including project management, and he was the CIO at Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission from which he retired in 2014. He also taught university courses and held administrative positions at various higher education institutions for many years, including Capella University, McDaniel College, and University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters Marci Coverstone and partner Patrick Lynch of Westminster and Chelsea Yohn of Hampstead, siblings Nancy Lovelady, Robert Coverstone and wife Diane and Linda Holbrook and husband Richard, grandchildren Marena, Quest, Fletcher and Kai.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings Nelda Caldwell, Sandra Peters and William Coverstone.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, MD 21157.  Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Pipe Creek Cemetery in Union Bridge.
