Phyllis Lee (Logue) Menchey, 88, of Westminster, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 19, 2021. Born May 22, 1932 in Smallwood, she was the daughter of the late Carroll Logue and Blanche (Spencer) Logue. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, James L. Menchey, Jr., who passed away on February 22, 2021.
Before retiring she worked doing clerical work at the Office of Unemployment and at James L. Menchey Builders. She was a long-time member of St. John (Leister’s) Church. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping, and traveling.
She is survived by son Ronald Menchey, Sr. and wife Denise, daughter Dawn Nauman and husband Steve, 5 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by 2 great-grandchildren and 7 siblings.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Leister’s Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
