Randy C. Walkling, 64, of Westminster, died Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born September 20, 1961 in Maryand he was the son of the late Ernest C. Walkling and L. Kathleen Smith Walkling.
Randy worked at Penguin Random House for over 40 plus years. He was an avid dirt track racing fan, loved the Yankees and the Steelers, his favorite holiday was Christmas and putting up all of his decorations, especially the inflatable ones. The light of his life was his grandsons, he loved spending time with them and with his family. He enjoyed playing cards with his Thursday night card gang. Randy discovered later in life that he loved traveling, but his most fondest memories were the trips to Wildwood, New Jersey that he and his family took their vacations every year for 25 years. He also enjoyed coaching his children when they played basketball, baseball and softball.
He is survived by his children Jessica Davis Walkling of Westminster and Chad Randall Walkling of Westminster; grandchildren Colton and Wyatt Masiello; significant other Karen Marie Angell; brother Ralph E. Walkling and his wife MissC; his cats Captain Crunch and Stars.
He was predeceased by his brother Ray Allen Walkling and R. Charles Walkling.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, Md. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Deer Park Cemetery.
