Rebecca Ann Macklin Obituary

Rebecca Ann Macklin, 80, of Hanover, PA passed away peacefully Friday December 29, 2023 at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born October 28, 1943 in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late Agnes (Rebecca) Creighton. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Macklin, sister Marian Harmon, and brother Charles Greenstreet. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Judy Macklin, and James and Carol Macklin, and her beloved cat Miss Kitty.

Rebecca was a very kind person. She was a loving and devoted mother to her sons and welcomed her daughters-in-law into the family and always referred to them as her own. She loved gardening, especially planting flowers and enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds and butterflies that would stop and check out what she planted that year. Her patio was a quiet sanctuary where every year birds would make their nests and she enjoyed watching the parents taking care of the babies. She was an animal lover having many dogs and cats over the years, too many to name (and loved horses too!). She enjoyed seeing the wildlife that visited the back yard such as deer, turkey, foxes (loved the foxes), and occasionally hawks. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
