Richard “Bruce” Huber,66, of Westminster died August 14, 2025. Born August 29, 1958 in Olney, MD, he was the son of the late John William Huber, Sr. and Eleanor Ruth Franklin Huber.
Bruce graduated from Westminster High School in 1977. He enlisted in the Navy and traveled around the world three times. He served on the USS Independence and the USS Midway. Before retiring he was an electronic technician. He enjoyed drawing and painting, NASCAR, hunting, fishing and participating along with his brother John in civil war reenactments with the 2nd Maryland Company H Group.
He is survived by his fiance’ Teresa Peach, his sister Pamela Ann Huber-Schaeffer (Noah) and nieces Heather Smith and Lauren Shahan and nephew Zack Ward.
He is predeceased by his brothers John William Huber, Jr. and Walter Clyde Huber and nephew Josh Ward.
A joint Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 467, 519 Poole Road, Westminster, MD 21157 with military honors. John and Walt will also be acknowledged at the celebration. The family will receive friends until 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Richard to the Westminster VFW Post 467.
