Beloved brother and father, Richard C. Way, Jr. born September 6, 1968 in Pittsburg, Pa. passed away in the early morning hours of July 12, 2024 at his home in Manchester, Md. He is predeceased by his parents, Richard C. Way, Sr. and Darlene F. Way. Rich leaves behind his only sibling, Christine Biddinger (Chris) along with two beautiful daughters, Erika and Michelle Ostrum, and his former wife Angela Kohlhepp, his nieces, Jessica Gondeck, Sarah Biddinger, Katelynn Biddinger and Anna Hathaway, along with his great nieces, Serenity Hart, Madison, Raegan and Rielynn Gondeck, along with his great nephew Cassiel Hathaway. He also leaves behind many beloved cousins, aunts and uncles.
All who knew Rich will remember his love for music, fishing and sports, especially his passion for the Capitals, Orioles baseball and Ravens football. His compassion for both people and animals knew no limits. He had a long career in the fire protection industry starting at the age of 17 and eventually becoming a sprinkler filter/foreman.
A celebration of life will be held at Patapsco Valley State Park Pick all Area at Pavilion #702 on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 1-6 P.M. with his favorite music playing while enjoying some of his favorite foods including steamed crabs.
